Downtown Campus To Host CPR Training Kiosk
The Downtown Campus in partnership with URMC and The American Heart Association will host a hands on CPR simulation kiosk on campus. UR Medicine introduced the hands-only CPR kiosk to the Finger Lakes region last year to improve bystander CPR response rates and save more lives. The portable training station, developed by the American Heart Association, is placed in busy locations so large numbers of people to learn this important skill.
The mobile CPR station provides interactive training, followed by a practice session, and a 30-second test. A built-in rubber torso ensures proper hand placement, compression rate, and depth, with real-time feedback to improve technique. It takes about 10 minutes to complete.
Stop by the second floor lounge for this quick interactive training that could save a life! The kiosk will be active until the end of Spring semester.
