Sponsored by the Faculty Senate - 10:00 - 12:00 Presented by Joe Marchese, MCC Business/Economics Department This seminar will assist in designing a plan to achieve important financial goals such as:
Retirement and college savings
Basic principles of investing
How to apply these principles to your basic MCC pension plan through TIAA/CREF
How to make the best use of your voluntary 403b7 retirement option at MCC
How to apply basic investment principles to other goals such as college savings plans
The Student Bill of Rights and Academic Freedoms – Sponsored by the Faculty Association 1:00 – 3:00 Presented by Craig Smith, AFT Higher Education Department
What is the Academic Bill of Rights and its potential impact?
Should the government intervene in curriculum and teaching?
Does academic freedom mean "anything goes"?
