Call for Entries: Artists in Unlikely Places

MCC faculty and staff members are encouraged to submit their best artistic work for inclusion in the upcoming Mercer Gallery exhibition “Artists in Unlikely Places.”

Inspired by Anthropology Professor Emeritus David Day, the exhibit will feature works produced by non-art teaching faculty and staff from throughout the College. Retirees and emeritus faculty are welcome to participate as well.

This show will demonstrate how critical art and the creative process are to all.

“Artists in Unlikely Places,” which will run from Friday, Oct. 30 – Friday, Nov. 13, will be curated by Kathleen Farrell, professor and Mercer Gallery director (VaPA), and Tony Leuzzi, assistant professor and Writing Across the Curriculum coordinator (English/Philosphy). An opening reception will be held 7 p.m. – 9 p.m., Friday, Oct. 30.

All work should be recent (created within the last two years) and must be framed and/or ready to hang. Submission deadline is Monday, Oct. 5.

For additional information of if you have any questions, contact Kathy Farrell at <mailto:kfarrell@monroecc.edu> or ext. 3121 or Tony Leuzzi at <mailto:aleuzzi@monroecc.edu> or ext. 3392.
