Dr. Mike Jacobs Part of Penn State Initiative

Congratulations to Dr. Mike Jacobs, Acting Provost and VP, Academic & Student Affairs, for his inclusion in the Humanities Seed Bank initiative. Produced by Penn State scholars Carla Nappi and Eric Hayot, and co-sponsored by Penn State’s Center for Humanities and Information, the project comprises a series of video interviews with humanities scholars on a range of ideas regarding methods, practices, modes of research, and ways of thinking across humanistic fields. Dr. Jacobs’s talk, “Scholarship and Community Colleges,” focuses on the value of supporting humanities faculty scholarship at access-oriented, teaching-intensive institutions of higher learning. Dr. Jacobs is the only community college representative included in the series.
