Employee Recognition Ceremony: A Celebration To Remember
On behalf of the entire Monroe Community College community, I extend my deepest gratitude to each of you—Debra Ake, Bailey Burritt, Victoria Boese, Suzanne Bureau (Co-Chair), Jeremy Case, Debra Davis, Cheryl Gavigan, Subia Khan, Cynthia Clark Inman, Yolanda Johnson, Patrick Morris, Kate Sweeney, Dana Voldan-Curry, and Eric Wheeler (Co-Chair) - for planning and executing such a meaningful and uplifting Employee Recognition Ceremony. A special thank you to the members of the Student Government Association (SGA), who added their own special touch to the ceremony.
It was truly a time of celebration, laughter, and shared joy - something we all needed, especially given the ongoing uncertainty surrounding higher education. Your care, creativity, and attention to detail shone through every part of the event. You created a space that not only honored the hard work and dedication of our colleagues, but also reminded us of the power of community, appreciation, and human connection.
This celebration was more than just an event; it was an embodiment of Monroe Community College’s mission and vision. You helped reinforce our collective purpose - to transform lives through education, to recognize excellence, and to support one another as we remain steadfast in our commitment to our students.
As we move into the summer months, I hope each of you finds time for rest, renewal, and reflection. You have certainly earned it. And as a friendly reminder, we look forward to coming together again on All-College Day, August 20, 2025 - a time to reconnect, refocus, and recommit to the important work ahead.
Thank you once again for your outstanding work and dedication.
Wishing you all a wonderful summer.
