Nomination Packets for the Dr. Wesley T. Hanson Award for Teaching Excellence and the MCC Award for Excellence in Professional Service are requested by 5:00 p.m. on March 12, 2009.
In selecting persons for the Dr. Wesley T. Hanson Award for Teaching Excellence and MCC Award for Excellence in Professional Service, there must be specific indications that the candidate performs superbly in fulfilling the job description for the position held.
As members of the Professional Development Committee of the Faculty Senate, we are particularly eager to learn specific achievements in the areas of leadership, decision making, problem solving, innovations, and activities for improving the academic and working environment of the college.
We are interested in recognizing those individuals who not only meet the criteria listed above, but who consistently exceed these criteria in a creative and innovative fashion.
Please note the following:
-- The nomination form must be completed. Nomination Forms may be obtained from the MCC website at <https://www.monroecc.edu">, A-Z Index, F- Faculty Senate
-- A candidate for any award must be nominated by two (2) members of the College community (MCC faculty, MCC employees, MCC students). Candidates may not nominate themselves.
-- Members of the College community may nominate or second the nomination of only one person for any award.
-- A member of the Professional Development Committee, previous recipients, and the Vice President and President of the College are not eligible for any of the awards.
-- Add Nomination packets, including all support materials, should not exceed 15 pages in length.
-- Nine (9) copies of the Nomination Packet must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2009. All materials should be submitted to Carmen Powers, 5-214; (585) 292-3367.
