Meet MCC's New Institutional Compliance Officer and Internal Auditor

Please join me in welcoming Brenda Ronan to the MCC Community. Brenda joined the Institutional Compliance and Internal Audit Office as the College’s Institutional Compliance Officer and Internal Auditor on Monday, August 12.  

Brenda joins us from SUNY Buffalo State University where she served as the University’s Compliance & Business Manager ensuring compliance with Title IX, FERPA, HIPAA, and Clery Act regulations. Brenda also spearheaded SUNY mandated Internal Controls processes and New York State Comptroller Office Advisory 28 audit reviews, as well as conducted annual risk assessments of Information Technology, Student Accounts, Financial Aid, Human Resources, Financial Management, and University Police.

Brenda holds a master’s in Higher Education and Public Administration from SUNY Buffalo State University and is currently pursuing her MBA in Strategic Management from SUNY Stony Brook University.  

Brenda’s education and extensive professional experience in compliance and risk assessment will provide the College with strong leadership in the areas of compliance, audit, and advisory services.
