Know Someone Looking for a Career in Customer Service?

If you know someone who likes to help people solve problems … who wants to work in a field that pays well and offers rapid advancement … they might belong in MCC's new Call Center Certificate program.

Customer service call centers are the heart of every major business and there's a huge demand for trained professionals to staff them. According to Tom Gilbert, chair of MCC's Office & Computer Programs Department, "there are more jobs for call center employees than there are people to fill them."

The year-long program will train students to service customers and help companies maintain a positive image with the public. Graduates will be fully prepared to move into team leadership, supervisory, or quality assurance positions in a call center.

Students will get hands-on experience in MCC's state-of-the-art training lab, located at the Damon City Campus. In addition, there are paid internship opportunities at Excellus BCBS, the area's largest health insurance company. (Limited number available. Enroll early for best placement.)

Companies all over Rochester are hiring Call Center representatives now. To learn more, call 292-2217 or click "Call Center Certificate" in the A-Z index on the MCC Web site.

Classes start January 26.
