Got Anxiety?


According to results from the 2011 National College Health Assessment Survey, MCC students on the Brighton Campus reported the following during their past academic year:

67.5% felt overwhelmed by all they had to do

44.9% felt overwhelming anxiety

Everyone experiences fear and worry, especially in today’s world. Anxiety is a normal reaction to stressful situations. But in some cases, it becomes excessive and can cause sufferers to dread everyday situations. The exaggerated worries and expectations of negative outcomes in unknown situations that typify anxiety are often accompanied by physical symptoms. These include muscle tension, headaches, and stomach cramps.
