Leadership Updates in Administrative Services

Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Administrative Services Greg Hinton submitted his resignation, effective immediately, on Monday, March 24. I am grateful for CFO/VP Hinton’s many contributions to Monroe Community College during his tenure, particularly his leadership of the Administrative Services Division where he supported continuous and meaningful professional development opportunities. We wish CFO/VP Hinton all the best in the next chapter of his career.

With CFO/VP Hinton’s departure, I am pleased to announce Darrell Jachim-Moore, Associate Vice President of Administrative Services, has accepted my invitation to serve as interim Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Administrative Services. Darrell’s interim appointment is effective immediately.

Darrell, who joined MCC in 2009, brings with him years of experience leading the College’s budget office.  As AVP, he supports the College’s mission, vision, and strategic plan by providing departments with assistance in the preparation and construction of their individual annual budgets; monitoring and projecting revenue and operational expenses; and allocating resources and monitoring their uses through reviews of policies and procedures.  Darrell also expertly served as Interim CFO and VP, Administrative Services for the College in 2021-2022, so he brings outstanding experience to the role.

Please join me in thanking Darrell for assuming this leadership role. Please also join me in gratitude to Provost/Vice President Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Mike Jacobs, for so ably serving as liaison to the Executive Leadership Team on behalf of the Administrative Services division over the past several weeks in VP Hinton’s absence.  Lastly, I want to extend my gratitude for the exemplary leadership by all who have served the Administrative Services Division and the College during this time of transition.

I will be updating the College community in a future Tribune article regarding the search for a permanent CFO/VP, Administrative Services.
