Travels with Tiberius: Holistic Wellness Fair

The Counseling, Disability, and Health Services office and Student Life and Leadership hosted the third annual Holistic Wellness Fair on Wednesday. The purpose of the event was for visitors to explore a variety of resources designed to support health and well-being. Among the visitors to the event was Tiberius!

Veronica: What did you see at the Holistic Wellness Fair?

Tiberius: The first thing I noticed was a dog—a big, friendly therapy dog named Taz who sniffed me quite a bit. Then I saw a whole bunch of tables to explore!

Veronica: What were some of the tables on display?

Tiberius: There was a table with a big pink phone (that I couldn’t use)! It was about women’s health. Also, there was a table for mindfulness and chocolate (probably where Taz wanted to be), and I visited a table with our friends from the Public Safety Department. I got my picture taken next to a Public Safety Department vehicle magnet. That’s likely the closest I will ever get to driving.

Veronica: What was your favorite table to visit?

Tiberius: I don’t like to play favorites, but food is always good! There was a table about SNAP benefits with some fake food that made me hungry, but then I turned around, and there was real food! They had a station set up for making your own power bowls!

Veronica: Is there anything else you want to share about your experience at the Holistic Wellness Fair?

Tiberius: I also loved the table with the display of yoga poses. Granted, I am frozen in one pose, but seeing what could be possible if I wasn’t was pretty exciting!
