Week 1 - Hydration Challenge (Every Sip Counts)

Water is essential to all life on Earth, especially for us humans. Did you know that around 50-70% of the adult human body is made up of water? Having enough fluids in our system is not only vital for protecting our joints, but it also helps our organs function, transports oxygen to cells, sustains body temperature, and much more!

Attached you will find a water drinking tracker. Each Monday we will post a fun fact about drinking water and the tracker. 

For those taking part of our Wellness Punch card, each week you complete, you get a punch!

 

WEEK 1 What are the benefits of drinking water

There are many benefits of drinking water as it makes up about 50%-70% of our body composition. We need it for digestion, absorption, transportation of nutrients, circulation, and maintenance of body temperature. Water is calorie free and can lead to weight loss when it’s the substitute for caloric beverages. Water helps give energy to our muscles and is important for our skin, the body’s largest organ. Water helps with our kidney and bowel function as well.
