The Week Ahead

The office of Student Life & Leadership Development presents the following events for next week (please share with students):

Open House

  • Monday, February 24th, 11am to 1pm, Downtown Campus 2nd Floor Lounge

MCC Disability Awareness Club and DWIGHT are having an open house! Come to the 2nd Floor Lounge at the Downtown Campus to enjoy food, music, crafts, and a baking giveaway! There will also be various community agencies tabling.

Safe Space for All

  • Wednesday, February 26th, 12pm to 1pm, Brighton Campus Forum, Room 3-130

With so many changes happening every day, it can feel overwhelming. The Office of Student Life and Leadership Development is offering a safe space for all to decompress. Whether you want to relax, engage in mindful activities, or simply take a moment to recharge, we’re here for you.

Meet & Greet

  • Wednesday, February 26th, 12pm to 1pm, Downtown Campus High Falls B

Come to the Downtown Campus High Falls B room to meet the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development’s new Graduate Assistant, Juslannie! Join her for food, crafts, or stop by for some grab-and-go activities. This is a great opportunity to learn more about existing clubs and organizations on the Downtown Campus, share any ideas for new clubs and organizations, and suggest events you’re interested in!

Student Government Association Snack and Chat

  • Wednesday, February 26th, 12pm to 1pm, Brighton Campus Building 3 Terrace

An opportunity to grab some grub while meeting with your student government representatives to discuss upcoming events, ideas, and all things MCC!

Other News:

  • Tax Help on Campus: The Department of Taxation and Finance will be on campus to help students get in-person tax help and file for free. Help will be available Monday 2/24 Brighton campus building 11-101. Students must pre-register online for an appointment (www.tax.ny.gov/tap/).
  • Rad Tech Club: On Monday and Tuesday of next week, Rad Tech Club will be sponsoring a local vendor who will be selling different goods and items on the Brighton Campus in the Terrace. Make sure to check it out!
