Announcing the Visit of Mexican Film Maker Eugenia Llaguno and the Screening of Her Film "Party of Two"


The World Languages and Cultures Department cordially invites you to attend the screening of the short film Plato para dos (Party of Two), and to meet Ms. Eugenia Llaguno, the film’s writer, director and executive producer, who will introduce the film and answer questions from the audience.

Film Synopsis: The night of their sixth anniversary, a successful couple exposes two of its most closely guarded secrets. Faced with their own lies must decide whether they have a future and hope even for them.

Eugenia Llaguno was born Guadalajara (Jalisco), Mexico and graduated in International Trade Business at the University of Guadalajara. After a solid and successful career, she decided to study acting and devote herself to theatre as actress and producer. In 2012, she started attending different film producing and directing workshops at the The National Section of Film Directors (Sección Nacional de Directores de Cine). Party of Two is her first film work as producer, director and writer. The film was accepted for screening at the Short Film Corner in Cannes, France (2014), the Palm Springs International Short Film Fest (2014), the Las Vegas International Film Fest (2014), and the New York Underground International Film Fest (2015). It is also on the program of the Rochester International Film Festival, the world’s oldest continuously-held short film festival, which takes place April 23 to 25 (https://rochesterfilmfest.org/2015-program/)
