MCC Toastmasters Achieve Distinguished Club Status in First Year

Striving for and achieving excellence is the norm at MCC and our newly chartered MCC Toastmasters Club is no exception. Having successfully completed a series of program goals set forth by our parent organization, Toastmasters International, we have recently been recognized as a Distinguished Club.  Our group currently has 20 members, several of whom have distinguished themselves by earning Competent Toastmaster status. A special congratulations goes out to Nancy Wodhams who was the first MCC member to be recognized as a Competent Leader at our last meeting.

If you would like to learn more about MCC Toastmasters, you are invited to attend our next meeting which will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 10 at 4:30 pm on the Brighton Campus in room 12-1105.  The group meets on the second and forth Tuesdays of the month.  Or, you can contact Samson Olaode, vice president membership, or Karen Frantz, president.  The club offers members an opportunity to improve their communication and leadership skills,  and network with folks from a variety of college departments.  The experience is challenging, rewarding, and always fun!
