Governor Hochul Appoints MCC Alumna to MCC Board of Trustees

At the April 22, 2024, meeting, the Monroe Community College Board of Trustees will welcome MCC alumna Gladys Pedraza-Burgos, M.S., as its newest member. New York State Governor Kathy Hochul appointed Pedraza-Burgos to serve the remainder of Barbara Lovenheim’s term through the end of June 2024. Trustee Pedraza-Burgos has spent her entire career advocating for and ensuring community members receive the education and resources they need to succeed. Most recently, Pedraza-Burgos served as Vice President of Early Childhood Services for Action for a Better Community (ABC). Before that role, she served as Chief Operations Officer of Ibero American Action League, Inc. and Chief of Youth Development and Family Services for the Rochester City School District.
