MCC Efforts Make SUNYLA Conference a Success

MCC was well represented at the 36th annual SUNY Librarians Association Conference held at Cortland May 25th through the 27th.  Ted Ciambor served as Conference Chair, Charlene Rezabek coordinated Pre-Conference Workshops, Alice Harrington coordinated Poster Sessions, Debbie Mohr assisted with vendor representation, and Lori Annesi assisted with conference publications.  The annual conference was highly successful with over 185 attendees from across New York State and the SUNY system.

Conference participants attended wide-ranging workshops informing them of changes in information technology, databases, scholarly publications, copyright issues, web development, teaching and instructional methodology.  Representatives of the new SUNY-wide library management system, Ex Libris, presented workshops, demonstrations and sponsored portions of the conference.

The SUNY Librarians Association Council has expressed thanks to MCC librarians for their invaluable contributions to this year’s successful conference.
