Course Description
Multicultural psychology examines human behavior as it occurs in culturally heterogeneous settings. This course will introduce students to theoretical and practical approaches used to examine the impact of culture on various psychological processes. This course will use discussions, readings, film, and various class activities to promote an understanding of human experiences in multicultural contexts. Topics will include culture, identity, gender, stereotyping and prejudice, religion and spirituality, family, and mental health.
