COM-241: News Reporting

Course Description

This course focuses on hands-on journalism that develops students' abilities to gather, verify, and present news across multiple media platforms. Students will master fundamental reporting skills including interviewing techniques, fact-checking, and ethical decision-making while learning to craft compelling stories using AP style in appropriate formats for print, broadcast, digital, and mobile platforms. Through real-world assignments and deadline-driven exercises, students will develop the critical thinking, writing versatility, and professional standards essential for modern journalism careers.
