ENG-182: College Composition Lab

Course Description

This course targets instruction in critical thinking and integrated reading and writing, including explicit reading strategies, self-reflection, as well as active drafting, revision, and writing mechanics, organization, and style. Students will also develop techniques for effective workshopping and provide regular feedback on each other’s work, increasing their range of multilayered approaches to reading, writing, and research processes.

Prerequisites

High school GPA of 71 or higher, or completion of TRS 090 with a C or higher, or TRS 100 with a B or higher, or ESL 201 or TRS 200 with a C or higher, or Self-Directed Placement/Instructor Permission.Co-requisite(s): ENG 101
