Course Description
Fundamentals of statics applied to problems of engineering interest. A vector algebra approach will be presented. Topics include equivalent force systems, equilibrium, structural mechanics, friction, properties of surfaces. Three class hours. Course offered Fall. Course offered Spring in odd numbered years. Prerequisite(s) PHY 161 with a C or higher; MTH 210 with a C or higher
