HMN-220: Global Humanities I

Course Description

Interdisciplinary study of a variety of significant works of literature, philosophy, history, art, and music from a global perspective. The course will chronologically or thematically survey works of regions (including but not limited to Europe, Asia, Africa, India, and the Americas) from prehistory to 1500 while emphasizing oral and written analysis of primary and secondary works. Four class hours.

Prerequisites

English 101 with a grade of C or better or English 200 with a grade of C or better.
