As educators, how we bridge differences and deliver on the promise of higher education depends on understanding the potential obstacles facing today’s students and developing strategies that will help students succeed academically and in life.

Guided by dedicated Monroe Community College faculty and staff, our colloquium on Wednesday, March 13 will focus on how institutional structures, student experiences, and teaching practices that influence inclusivity on our campuses.

Featured keynote presenters Amalia Dache, Ph.D. from the University of Missouri, Stephen John Quaye, Ph.D. from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio), and student leader Althea Jones-Johnson from the University at Buffalo will lead us through honest reflection and discovery.

This colloquium will also feature a powerful theater performance by Impact Interactive, LLC that will further engage attendees in meaningful discussion and collaborative problem-solving around the important issue of inclusion.

Thank you to those who preregistered for the conference. MCC looks forward to hosting this eye-opening essential discussion. The time for educators to effectively lead and respond to this growing challenge is now.
