Downtown Campus Exterior Repair - Temporary Main Entrance Disruption

Starting Thursday, August 22, a 135 ft. lift will be positioned at the main entrance of the Downtown Campus to facilitate the repair of an exterior expansion joint.

The contractor will begin by performing an exploratory inspection of the damaged expansion joint between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Work will then pause temporarily to accommodate the start of the Red Wings game, and will resume at approximately 1:30 a.m. Please note that work may continue through the weekend.

To ensure safety, our Public Safety department will be on site to assist faculty, staff, students, and visitors entering or exiting the building. You may be asked to wait briefly until it is safe to proceed.

These safety measures are essential to protect all campus users, including our students, faculty, staff, and visitors. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this necessary repair work.
