ESOL Voices: Student Spotlight
Nataliia Lutchak
Nataliia Lutchak, along with her husband and two children, came to Rochester, NY in 2023 seeking refuge from the war in her homeland, Ukraine. Shortly after her arrival, Nataliia enrolled at MCC and embarked on an academic journey in a new language. She plans to get a degree in Radiologic Technology. In this story, Nataliia poignantly describes a deep longing for home and the power she found in dreams to help her return there. Read Nataliia's story here.
ESOL Voices is a collection of stories written by ESOL students at Monroe Community College. This publication highlights our MCC students who come from all over the world. Look for new stories in the Tribune. Search for older stories on our Omeka page maintained by librarian Dax Parasnis-Samar. We hope you enjoy these stories as much as we do.
