Virtual Campus: Ready to Support You This Semester!

As the semester kicks off, your Virtual Campus team is here to help you prepare! Whether you're teaching online, hybrid, or using Brightspace in your face-to-face class, we're just a click away. In addition to our strong online presence, we also have a physical space on the Brighton Campus in Building 3, Room 150. Stop by to use the computers in our Faculty Innovation Center, try out our video recording booth, or grab a coffee in our Training Room and say hello!

Here are quick ways to connect with us for support:

  1. Zoom Support: We are ramping up our hours for Zoom Drop-In support. If you have questions about getting started, need reminders on copying your course to the next semester, or simply trying to make sense of the tools, we are here. Bookmark our Information for Faculty – Zoom Support Hours page so you have quick access throughout the semester.
  2. Email Support: Contact us at our team email address, virtualcampus@monroecc.edu. This is monitored by our administrative support, and we can direct your request to our team members.
  3. Virtual Campus Faculty Center: This is a repository of self-serve resources on Brightspace, AI, Accessibility, and other college-supported Instructional Technologies. You will find instructions on how to copy your course, forms for requests, and more. Faculty have access to the space, but staff may be added by request. Virtual Campus Faculty Center (login required).
  4. Appointments: We encourage you to use our main email address to arrange a one-on-one appointment if needed. Appointments may be necessary for more complex questions, new online course design, course redesign, and the integration of new technologies. We have a team of supportive instructional designers!
  5. After Hours Support: The beginning of the semester is a busy time for our team, and you may have some last-minute questions. MCC subscribes to the SUNY Online Help Desk support services, so you can continue to get Brightspace support on late nights and weekends. Your students can use this service too!

Expect weekly updates from our team with support hours, training opportunities, and more. We're here to support your success and your students’ learning—don’t hesitate to reach out!
