Craig Ross Ph.D. Bio 

Craig M. Ross, Ph.D. is an accomplished higher education professional with two decades of experience managing complex budgets, optimizing administrative functions, and driving cross-departmental collaboration to strengthen institutional performance. Currently serving as Chief Operations Officer at John Casey Construction, Dr. Ross has built the organization’s administrative infrastructure from the ground up—developing systems for finance, HR, business development, and compliance—while helping to expand annual revenue from $1 million to $2.5 million. His leadership is defined by a strategic, analytical approach to organizational growth and a deep understanding of how sound fiscal and operational practices support long-term institutional success.

Dr. Ross previously served as Executive Director at Foundry Digital, where he launched and led the Foundry Academy and established the Foundry Repair business, which achieved profitability within its first year. In earlier roles at The College at Brockport and SUNY Geneseo, he managed budgets exceeding $79 million, led multi-year capital and facility planning initiatives, and partnered with IT and facilities departments to modernize systems and improve operational efficiency. He has successfully navigated the intersection of budget, technology, and facilities to consistently advance institutional goals.

Dr. Ross earned his Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University at Buffalo, his MBA in Technology Management from SUNY Polytechnic, and his B.S. in Telecommunications Engineering Technology from RIT. Beyond his professional life, he brings his leadership to the community as President of the Canandaigua Area Soccer League, combining his passion for the sport with a commitment to youth development and community engagement.
