TCC Gratitude Series - Day 13: Celebrating Our Dental Studies Department, Kudos to Lauren Incardona

Happy Monday Everyone! I would like to take a moment to celebrate our amazing Dental Studies department. As you sip your coffee, please enjoy these well-deserved kudos!

A special shout-out goes to Lauren Incardona, who received an incredible 29 kudos from her students! I counted multiple times—I hope I got them all! Lauren also completed the Second Year Faculty Series last spring, and it’s truly inspiring to share this recognition with all of you.

Ms. Incardona has a love for her students that no other teacher can express. The time she dedicates to us is remarkable and it’s very clear that she cares about us and truly wants us to be successful. She has developed a way of teaching that makes learning fun and causes the information to stick and make sense. She is an example to all of us and reminds us regularly of who we want to become and that we are capable of getting there.
Ms. Incardona is always so helpful. She is patient and kind, but has high expectations for all of us too. She is willing to work with you to make sure you meet your goals and help to move any barriers that might be in the way.
Ms. Incardona is an exceptional educator whose dedication, passion, and unwavering support for her students set her apart. She creates a classroom environment where every student feels valued, inspired, and encouraged to reach their full potential. Her innovative teaching methods, genuine care, and commitment to excellence make a lasting impact not only on academic growth but also on the personal development of each student. Ms. Incardona truly embodies what it means to be a remarkable teacher and is more than deserving of this nomination.
Ms. Incardona is truly remarkable due to her selfless dedication to her students. She consistently prioritizes our success as dental hygiene students, going above and beyond to ensure we grasp complex concepts and skills. Her unwavering support and genuine desire for our growth creates a positive learning environment where we feel encouraged to excel. You can tell she really loves her job and only wants the best for her students. Through her passion for teaching and commitment to our education, she inspires us to reach our full potential in the field of dental hygiene.
I feel like Ms. Incardona truly cares about each student individually. A lot of other professors can be careless about their students & seem inattentive, but I feel as if Ms. Incardona genuinely cares about my well being & my education & that says a lot about her. She always gives me her time & advice when I have a question about my education.
Mrs. Incardona is an absolute huge help while going through the process of the program. She pushes you to do your best while still being supportive. Her teaching style is very direct and straightforward which allows us to follow along easily. She is always been our biggest supporter and will always be there to help us whenever we need along the way. If you need something she doesn’t hesitate, and makes you feel heard and gives us reassurance during this stressful program.

Ms. Incardona truly loves what she does everyday and it really shows. She always makes sure each individual students needs are met. Her confidence in all of us has made me more confident and comfortable when seeing patients.
Ms. Incardona is aammmmaazzzinnnggg. She made rad clear, digestible and easy. She is always positive and helpful. I couldn’t imagine a better professor to teach rad how she does!
I’m nominating this teacher for Teacher of the Year because they have consistently shown what it means to truly care about their students’ success—not just academically, but personally. They are always willing to offer help, go the extra mile to ensure we understand, and create a learning environment built on honesty, encouragement, and trust. This teacher never cuts corners or misleads; instead, they lead with integrity and genuinely want the best for every student. Their support has made a lasting impact, and I’m truly grateful to have learned from them.
My professor goes above and beyond for all students and staff members. She’s even in a program that helps teachers be better teachers. She takes her time out to learn how to be better. She also is very helpful and explains anything you ever have questions with. She makes videos to help explain topics more clear or to be re watched. She is very uplifting and motivating. We’re in a very challenging program and she always reassures us we are doing amazing.
Ms. Incardona has truly set everyone up for success. Her lectures are set up to be “short and sweet” where she gets her point across of what we need to know. She’s always willing to meet with anyone if they need help and she is always positive when we’re doubting ourselves. When you walk by her office, she always has a quote/message on her door that always makes me smile during this challenging program. It makes me feel like I do belong where I am even when I don’t believe I should be there. Lastly, Ms. Incardona doesn’t only care about our academic success but about our personal lives. She loves to talk with us about our lives outside of school and as much as we talk about building rapport with our patients in hygiene school, it’s nice to know that a professor likes to do the same with us.
Ms. Incardona has always been very supportive and helpful the past 2 semesters I have had her as a professor. Her teaching style has helped me be successful in her courses.
Ms Incardona is a superlative professor. She is passionate about her career and enjoys sharing that passion with her students. She cares deeply for the success of her students, and makes sure each and everyone one of us feels heard and important.
I believe that she is deserving of this reward due to dedication to her students and her profession
Ms. Incardona presents information in a clear manner that is easy to understand. She connects the topics so that students can use all information efficiently throughout the semester. I highly respect her for fairness and always being available to help even with repeated material. I have never felt embarrassed that I missed something or didn't remember something.
Ms Incardona truly wants her students to succeed she is helpful and is always there when needed. She teaches and cares with a passion. She cheers us as on as a teammate and wants us to all cross the finish line.
Our radiography teacher is truly remarkable for their unwavering dedication, deep knowledge, and constant support. They go above and beyond to ensure every student understands complex concepts by breaking them down with clarity and patience. Always approachable and encouraging, they create a learning environment where questions are welcomed, and confidence is built. Their passion for radiography is contagious, inspiring students not only to learn but to genuinely care about the profession. Whether through extra study sessions, thoughtful feedback, or real-world insights, they consistently show how much they care about our success.
She is hands down one of the best professors I have ever had. She supports her students both inside and outside of the classroom.
Ms Incardona is a one of a kind professor that takes the time to individualize her teaching to each specific student.
Miss Incardona always goes above and beyond for her students, offering support, guidance, and encouragement around every corner. Her consistent positivity and the smile she brings to class makes a lasting impact on everyone she teaches. She creates an environment where learning radiology feels approachable and even fun at times. We are truly lucky to have such a dedicated and uplifting instructor. She promised to be our biggest cheerleader and she’s delivered every step of the way!
Ms. incardona is a fabulous teacher who makes learning fun and enjoyable. I always look forward to going to her class. She make sure all the students understand the material before she quizzes us on it. She never quizzes us on anything unless she has taught us the full content. She even makes references outside of radiology like the use of a tanning bed or tasting a turkey to compare it to xray energy. She's an amazing teacher and deserves this award.
This exceptional instructor is constantly displaying that she has only her students best interest in mind and at heart. She teaches with care, compassion, and understanding. It is evident in her every being, speech and outward presentation. If a student does not understand a certain concept, she will patiently help explain in different fashions until the student(s) can grasp a better understanding. Instead of solely focusing on just grades, she sees the potential in each student and supports their individual growth. She seems to always posses unlimited ways of explanation for her students. And she displays absolute and utter patience with everyone! Building strong, supportive relationships with students, demonstrating care, concern, and compassion for their well-being and success. If more teachers/instructors/educators could display such compassion and support for their students success, I believe there would be a greater rise in higher education."
Ms. Incardona is such a knowledgeable, organized, and skilled professional. Thanks to her I am confident in my radiology skills. Rad was one class I felt the weakest in and now I feel confident in patient care. I never second guessed her knowledge and skill. She really shaped me to be my best, and that took dedication. She’s really so amazing.
Ms. Incardona has had a very powerful impact on myself, as well as all my other classmates. Her constant support and kindness has been a major influence on my ability to cope with the high intensity program. Her class materials are always well organized and easy to understand, the same is true of her teaching style. You never have to worry about what to study because she makes it so clear what will be on tests and what is necessary to memorize. It is obvious she cares deeply for all her students and wants us all to succeed.
Ms. Incardona has repeatedly been more than just a professor. She has consistently given us her all by not only guiding us in the best direction for dental hygiene, but ensuring we are heard, respected, and treated as loving individuals. She has opened her ears to criticism and handles it eloquently (not that she needs much anyway) and she ensures every student succeeds in their best capacity. There isn’t anyone who embodies dental hygiene as a profession better than Ms. Incardona.
Ms. Incardona has had a profound impact on my educational experience and time during the dental hygiene program. Even on the first day, she welcomed everyone with open arms and it seemed like we’d known her for years. Her ability to make such personal connections with us as students has encouraged me so much, especially in hard times. She’s always been available for help with course material and academic concerns but she also always makes time for her students even if it’s just a personal conversation. During first semester, it was a big adjustment to stay on top of all of our schoolwork while also prioritizing our own health and Ms. Incardona would do everything she possibly could to make our experience a little bit better. She takes a personal interest in each student’s experience and even after we no longer have classes with her, she makes it a point to check in with us and continues to share her wealth of knowledge to future dental hygienists. Of course, her classes are very well organized with clear expectations and goals and she is very effective with her teaching methods, but that is not what stands out about her. It’s her connection to her students, her passion for the field of dentistry, and her willingness to serve as a mentor under any circumstances. She is highly intelligent and very driven, both of which have helped me to decide what kind of hygienist I want to be. She cares deeply for the profession but even more so for her students’ success. There is no one more deserving of this award, Ms. Incardona is easily one of the best teachers I’ve ever had through my 7 years of collegiate education and I am proud to say that she has positively impacted my life, even if she doesn’t know it. Ms. Incardona is an exceptional educator and friend. She always puts her students first and helps out whenever and with whatever she can.
Ms. Incardona is a spectacular professor, instructor, hygienist, and human. She goes above and beyond to assure her students understanding what they are doing clinically, within lectures and class work, and with the ins and outs of radiography! She is looked upon as a huge role model and she deserves the utmost recognition and support for all her hard work.
Ms. Incardona is an exceptional educator and friend. She always puts her students first and helps out whenever and with whatever she can.
