Small Sustainability Scholarships and Micro-Grants are available to students!

The SUNY Office of Sustainability is very excited to be launching the first-ever system-wide Student Sustainability Awards. This program not only provides students with a small scholarship for the work they have done to advance sustainability on their campus, but it also rewards them with a micro-grant to create an event, activity, or program that gets other students involved. 

Prizes will be awarded in 5 categories. A first place and runner-up will be decided in each category, bringing the total number of awards up to 10. First place awardees will be granted a $500 scholarship and $500 to get other students involved. Runners-up will receive $250 for each. The five categories are: 

1. Arts and Communication Award
2. Footprint Award
3. Research Award 
4. Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award
5. Environmental Justice Award
