Local News Stations Highlight Annual Diversity Conference

Local news stations highlighted Monroe Community College’s annual Diversity Conference last week. The theme of this year’s conference was Beyond the Rhetoric: Embracing Our Queer Community. The purpose of the conference is to build a broader, deeper understanding of the LGBTQIA+ community that is grounded in both reality and respect. V Spehar (they/them), an award-winning digital journalist, TikTok personality, and podcaster, was the keynote speaker.
