Congratulations on the successful MSCHE Team Chair site visit
Dear MCC Faculty and Staff,
September was an exceptionally busy and demanding month, and as I reflect on all we accomplished together, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude. I want to congratulate you on the successful completion of our Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) Team Chair site visit earlier this week.
During his visit, Dr. Polnariev, Vice President for Administrative Services, Union College of Union County, New Jersey (UCNJ), met with a wide range of MCC stakeholders—including the Executive Leadership Team, the Self-Study Steering Committee, shared governance representatives, labor unions, mid-level leaders, students, trustees, and Foundation members. Thank you to everyone who participated in these meetings; you represented MCC with professionalism and passion. Dr. Polnariev shared that he was especially impressed by the strong commitment to student success that came through in every conversation. In his own words, “Everybody is on the same page…committed to the same mission…working from a common purpose.”
Special thanks to Subia Khan for her work in planning and organizing all the details of the visit, and to Bill Skehan for welcoming (and transporting) Dr. Polnariev to MCC and introducing him to Rochester.
Although the full MSCHE evaluation team will not visit MCC until next year, the successful Team Chair visit this week is already a testament to your hard work. Your contributions have shown Middle States what we already know to be true: Monroe Community College is a place where learning thrives, innovation is embraced, and community is built.
Let us celebrate this milestone as a collective achievement. The pride we feel today is rooted in our collaboration and commitment—working Together as One to lay a strong foundation for what lies ahead.
Thank you for your dedication, your integrity, and your belief in our mission. I am honored to serve alongside you.
With deep appreciation,
Dr. DeAnna R. Burt-Nanna
