Thoughtful Thursday Event
Please share with students:Today’s theme for Mental Health Awareness Month is “Thoughtful Thursday”. Practicing thoughtfulness and kindness can boost mental health by increasing feelings of connection, purpose, and self-worth. Small acts of kindness release feel-good hormones like serotonin and oxytocin, which can reduce stress, improve mood, and enhance overall emotional well-being. For today’s event, the Counseling, Disability and Health Services Department will be taking our Health & Wellness on Wheels wagon on the go throughout Brighton Campus! We will be offering sweet treat bags to students, handing out random acts of kindness, resources sharing, and continuing our efforts of spreading awareness and reducing the stigma that remains around the topic of mental health.
