Congratulations to Winner and Finalists for the Anna C Price Poetry Award

The Creative Writing Committee would like to congratulate MCC student Trynazia Williams, whose poem "Soft Spot (I Want for Nothing)" won first place out of 135 submissions. We would also like to extend our congratulations to students Maryam Barmak and Faith Doumande who tied for second place. 

The award is sponsored by the MCC Foundation in memory of Anna Price, a former MCC Honors student who was, herself, an award-winning poet. The Creative Writing Committee and Anna's family were the panel judges. All three award recipients will be honored at this year's English & Philosophy Department Award Ceremony on May 7, from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
