The Week Ahead

The Office of Student Life and Leadership Development presents the following events for next week:

HGHRP: Weekly Fundraiser for MECA

  • Monday, December 1st, 11am to 1pm, Brighton Campus Terrace

HGHRP will be collecting donations for the Middle East Children’s Alliance foundation, a nonprofit organization working for the rights and the well-being of children in the Middle East.

ROC the Day

  • Tuesday, December 2nd, 11am to 1pm, Brighton Campus Terrace

Join your Student Government Association as they team up with the MCC Foundation to get portraits of yourself done by Professor Athesia Benjamin for only $5. All of the proceeds will be going to the DWIGHT Food Pantry.

Student Government Association Senate Meeting

  • Tuesday, December 2nd, 2:15pm to 5pm, Brighton Campus Forum, Room 3-130 or join via the SGA Zoom (Meeting ID: 889 3746 5009, Passcode: 161781)

The Student Government Association will be having a public Senate Meeting on Tuesday, December 2nd. Feel free to join in person or via Zoom.

Winter Reflections

  • Wednesday, December 3rd, 5pm to 8pm, Brighton Campus Forum 3-130

Join the Muslim Student Association for some winter reflections with guest speaker: Brother Jamaluddin.

Other News:   

  • $ave Around Coupon Books: They’re back! MCC’s Travel Club is selling $ave Around coupon books to help support educational opportunities. Coupon books are on sale now for $25 through December 23rd.  
  • Vote for Your MCC Champion: Recognize a member of the MCC Community for all of the work they have done. Vote now.  
  • Phi Theta Kappa Food Drive – A food drive benefiting the DWIGHT Food Pantry will be hosted by PTK as part of the Regional Service Initiative. The collection period will begin on November 10 and continue through December 12. 
  • MCC Art Faculty Exhibition: There will be an Artist Lecture Exhibition in the Mercer Gallery that will be from November 14 - December 13.
