Faculty Advisor Tip of the Day: How to Access and Contact Your Advisee Caseload

Today's Tip: How to Access and Contact your Advisee Caseload:

  • Advisor Dashboard

Easy access to view and contact your advisee caseload. In addition, all advisors can view their “Assigned Expertise” (aka the pathways of students being assigned to them) and their current caseload number and limit. MyMCC, Advisor Essentials, Advisee Caseload

  • Banner Self-Service

Another option to view and contact your advisees. Faculty Services tab, Student Information Menu, Advisee Listing, Select Term (fall 2024)

When Should I Reach Out to my Caseload?

  • Priority Registration for fall begins on April 9, 2024. Fall course offerings are now viewable, so you can reach out as early as today!
  • Reaching out to students prior to the start of priority registration allows time for your advisees to prepare to meet with you.
  • Best practices for caseload management can be found in the advisor handbook: MyMCC, Advisor Essentials, Online Advisor Handbook, Chapter 4: Caseload Management
