Call for Faculty and Staff Interested in Addressing the Impact of Recent Changes on our Students and Workplace

MCC faculty and staff recently met to discuss our concerns about the many recent national actions taking place. We are interested in joining with other MCC colleagues, faculty from nearby colleges and universities, and local concerned citizens to learn more about the impact of recent changes on our students and community. In keeping with MCC's Strategic Mission, our particular concerns center around ensuring inclusive, collaborative, and diverse practices; supporting our queer and transgender communities; promoting international relations focused on civility, mutual aid, justice, and a de-escalation of war rhetoric; and seeking ways we can, as a community, help our immigrant friends, neighbors, and colleagues.

Our next meeting will be Monday, April 28, from 2 to 3 PM in 9-256, or join us via Zoom.

Please email Elizabeth Johnston (ejohnston@monroecc.edu) or Maria Brandt (mbrandt@monroecc.edu) for more information and/or if you'd like to join our charge but can't make Monday's meeting.
