Community Conversation to Discuss Downtown Campus Initiatives and Campus Safety

Please share with students:

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to a Community Conversation on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from noon to 1:00 PM in High Fall A/B.  This is an opportunity to hear the latest updates regarding initiatives at the Downtown Campus and engage directly with leadership. A Zoom link will be shared once available.

Dr. Calvin Gantt, Executive Director for the Downtown Campus, will host the meeting. He will provide insight into ongoing and future campus initiatives designed to enhance the student and employee experience. Additionally, Dr. Gantt will introduce the members of the Downtown Campus Leadership Council, sharing information on their roles and commitment to the MCC community.

A highlight of the meeting will be a special appearance by Chief Stephen Wise. He will be available to address the audience regarding campus safety and other potential concerns. The session will include a dedicated question-and-answer period, allowing for direct and transparent dialogue between community members and Chief Wise.

The Community Conversation is a vital platform for open communication and transparency within the Monroe Community College family. All members of the MCC community are encouraged to attend and participate. The meeting is part of an ongoing effort to ensure the downtown campus is a safe, thriving, and supportive environment for everyone.
