ESOL Voices: Student Spotlight

Loc Duong came to the United States from Vietnam two years ago. He lives in Rochester with his cousin and plans to work in the health profession. In the following narrative essay, Loc reminisces about a favorite pastime of his youth, remembering with nostalgia the bonds established in his rural community in Vietnam, and the life lessons he learned from playing his favorite game.
