A great opportunity awaits graduating students interested in Biomedical Research!!!

Please share with students:

CSTEP - Collegiate Sci. and Tech. Entry Program is very excited to invite students to apply for the Bridges T34 Training Grant—a fully funded program designed specifically for MCC students who have an interest in biomedical research.

Why They Should Apply:

If they are completing their final semester (Spring 2026) at MCC and dream of conducting cutting-edge research, this program removes the financial barriers. Here's what they will get:

  • $1,219/month from January through July 2026 to support their final semester
  • 60% of their tuition covered for spring 2026
  • $3,000 summer stipend for an 8-week paid research internship at Binghamton University
  • Potential for 3 additional semesters of funding (pending NIH support)
  • Access to state-of-the-art labs to conduct real biomedical research

Who Should Apply:

They're a great fit if they're interested in biomedical research, interested in pursuing a STEM Bachelor's degree, are maintaining a GPA of 3.0+, and are part of an NIH-defined underserved population.

If you have problems using this form, please submit the required documentation to Dr. Julie Babulski (jbabulski@monroecc.edu) in the Biology Department.

This is their chance to gain real research experience while finishing their degree. Don't miss it!

If you have questions, reach out to Dr. Tori Matthews (tmatthews11@monroecc.edu), CSTEP Co-Lead.
