Student Wellness Wednesday: Nutrition & Stress

Please share with students:

Please join us for today’s Wellness Wednesday as we explore how nourishing your body can help you manage stress throughout the holiday season!

As the holidays approach, busy schedules, academic pressures, and constant celebrations can make it challenging to stay grounded. The foods we choose, and the way we eat them, can play a powerful role in supporting our mood, energy, and overall stress levels. Today’s workshop will focus on practical nutrition strategies that help you stay balanced, calm, and well during this busy time of year as a college student.

What’s Happening at This Event:

  • Nutrition Education – Meet with a Nutrition Educator from Cornell Cooperative Extension and learn simple, budget-friendly ways to fuel your body during stressful times. Discover how nutrient-rich foods can support energy, focus, and emotional well-being, plus pick up delicious recipe ideas for the season.
  • Wellness Activity – Take part in a hands-on, creative activity designed to help you unwind, reduce stress, and reconnect with a sense of calm through mindful, relaxing expression.
  • Therapy Dogs – Take a stress-relieving break with our therapy dogs! A comforting reminder that small, joyful moments matter.
  • Wellness Resources – Gain tools and tips for stress-supportive nutrition, mindful snacking, hydration, and keeping your body nourished when life gets hectic.
  • Healthy Giveaways – Pick up items that encourage healthy eating, stress reduction, and self-care.
