As AI tools continue to evolve, so do the opportunities—and challenges—they bring to teaching and learning. Whether you're navigating student use of AI in the classroom or helping shape institution-wide policy, staying informed is key. This week, SUNY FACT2 is offering two timely webinars designed to support faculty, staff, and campus leaders in building clarity, consistency, and confidence around AI use.

Students continue to struggle with the variety of expectations faculty have about how—or whether—they should use AI in their courses. This webinar will provide an overview of important strategies for developing AI policies that provide clear guidance for students. We will include multiple examples of policies that faculty have implemented in their courses and a framework for participants to use in writing their own policies.

As institutions continue to grapple with ensuring that faculty and students have clear and helpful guidance to navigate the use of AI. This webinar will provide an overview of important considerations for the development of AI policies and guidelines and will describe transparent processes for working with stakeholders and framing policies in ways that will ensure buy-in. We will feature three speakers from the AI Legal Institute at SUNY (ALIS), who will provide an overview of how policies can support responsible implementation and utilization of AI tools.
