Professor Elizabeth Johnston Publications and Prizes

Please share with students:

Professor Elizabeth Johnston was recently honored with two poetry awards and a very distinguished nomination.

Elizabeth's poem, "M.A.S.H (a Cento for Poets)" won 2nd place for the 2025 Visual Poetics contest judged by poet Kazim Ali; it will appear in Cleaver, issue 53.

Her poem, "As Soon as a Show Ends, I Have to Google Everything About It," won Descant's 2025 Betsy Colquitt Poetry Prize and will appear in their Winter issue along with three other poems, one of which-- "Girl as Kindling"-- was nominated for a Pushcart Prize.

We are fortunate to have successful and acclaimed writers like Professor Elizabeth Johnston on our faculty. Congratulations, Elizabeth!
