Re-Org Proposal: HR and Diversity, Equity & Belonging (DEB)

The Faculty Senate Special Committee on Administrative Affairs (SCAA) has received a proposal regarding the reorganization of the Diversity, Equity & Belonging (DEB) and Department of Human Resources (HR) from Vice President Calvin Gantt. SCAA invites members of the college community to review the proposal and participate in one or more of the opportunities listed below to provide feedback. Please submit feedback by the end of the day on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

Per the Faculty Senate Bylaws and Resolutions, SCAA is collecting input on this proposal from the college community and will provide a summary of the feedback, along with recommendations, to the proposer. The proposer will then respond to the feedback collected and summarized by SCAA.

Post on the Senate Discussion Board in the Faculty Senate Brightspace
E-mail feedback to SCAA (scaa@monroecc.edu) or reach out directly to any of the SCAA senators (see below)
Attend one of the hybrid Open Forums with VP Gantt. Bring questions or pre-submit questions to be asked at the hybrid Open Forums:
- Downtown Campus, High Falls, April 13, 2026, 12pm to 1pm, Zoom link TBA in Trib
- Brighton Campus, Empire Room, April 15, 2026, 12pm to 1pm, Zoom link TBA in Trib
