Public Safety Response Training Exercise to Take Place on Campus
Monroe Community College Public Safety will host a planned emergency response training exercise on campus this week, involving local public safety agencies and college personnel.
This evaluated exercise is scheduled for June 10 & 11, 2026, primarily between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. It is a follow-up to the drill that took place on May 27 and 28.
During these dates and times, students, faculty, and visitors may notice an increased presence of emergency vehicles, including fire, police, and public health units, particularly around Buildings 3, 8, 9, and 10. Parking lots G and M will also see additional emergency vehicle traffic.
This exercise is part of ongoing preparedness efforts and is designed to practice how agencies work together to support public safety functions such as coordination, communication, and response logistics.
College operations will continue as normal, and there is no cause for concern. The activity is strictly a training exercise, and no real emergency is taking place.
Members of the campus community are encouraged to go about their day as usual while remaining mindful of temporary signage, traffic adjustments, or restricted areas that may be in place to support the drill.
