College Forum with MCC Trustees to be held September 30 at the Downtown Campus

College Forum with MCC Trustees to be held Wednesday, September 30, at the Downtown Campus.

College Forums provide MCC faculty, staff, students and members of the Rochester community with direct access to MCC Trustees to discuss items related to College business.

The forum will be held as follows:

College Forum
Wednesday, September 30, 2026
10:30 am to 12:00 pm
MCC Downtown Campus Campus, High Falls A/B (also accessible via Zoom; links will be available on the Board of Trustees Meetings web page)

The following guidelines are intended to support a respectful, organized, and productive experience for all participants:

  • Forum dates will be announced four weeks in advance.
  • Individuals will have three weeks to register to speak.
  • Registered speakers will be allotted up to three (3) minutes to speak. An on-screen timer will alert speakers when their time is up; afterward, Trustees may ask follow-up questions.
  • Forums will be livestreamed to maximize accessibility and participation for members of the MCC community. While the livestream will not be recorded or archived by the College, written testimony submitted by registered speakers will be maintained and available upon request through the College’s Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) process for a period not to exceed one (1) calendar year following the forum

The above guidelines are intended to create an inclusive environment where participants have an equitable opportunity to be heard and contribute meaningfully to the discussion.

Interested in speaking at the Forum? Register by September 23.
If you are interested in delivering prepared testimony to the Board of Trustees, please send your name and a brief description of your proposed subject to Linda Hall, Executive Assistant to the Board of Trustees (lhall38@monroecc.edu), by no later than 12:00 pm, Wednesday, September 23, 2026. When registering, please indicate whether you plan to attend in person or via Zoom so the appropriate meeting information can be shared.

Registered speakers are also requested to email a copy of their full written testimony by 9 am Tuesday, September 29 to Linda Hall (lhall38@monroecc.edu). To support an efficient and orderly process, it is requested that the testimony remain substantially unchanged after submission.

To help create a welcoming, respectful, and productive environment, we ask all attendees to engage professionally and courteously throughout the event.
