Gene Haas Foundation Powers New MCC Labs with $1 Million Grant

Monroe Community College and the MCC Foundation are proud to announce a $1 million naming gift from the Gene Haas Foundation.

The grant will support more than 10,000 square feet of cutting-edge instructional space in the new Sydor Optics Advanced Technology Center (ATC), including the Gene Haas Lab for Computer Numerical Control (CNC) and the Gene Haas Lab for Tooling and Machining.

The Gene Haas Foundation and MCC have a long-standing partnership, and we are grateful to see their support grow over the years — from providing scholarships for MCC students to making this transformational investment in the spaces where they learn. With more than 200 employer partnerships, students graduating with an A.A.S. in Precision Machining fill urgent workforce needs and earn competitive wages. The Gene Haas Foundation’s investment will further strengthen MCC's curriculum through innovative resources and hands-on learning opportunities that align with employer needs and power regional growth. A special thank you to Joel Eisele for helping bring this exciting philanthropic partnership to life and for his leadership in growing MCC's relationship with the Gene Haas Foundation.
