TCC: Spring Conversation #3--Student Panel on Belonging this Wednesday, April 22

Belonging is a fundamental human need to feel seen, heard, and connected. In academia, belonging can help students feel accepted, valued, and supported in the classroom. After the students share their personal experiences, there will be time for discussion.

Join us on Wednesday, April 22, to hear from MCC students as they share experiences that enhanced their sense belonging at MCC.

  • When: 12:00 PM to 12:50 PM
  • Where: Brighton Campus TCC (12-201) or join via Zoom

The student panel was assembled by Kathleen D'Alfonso (AHPS). Contributors/facilitators: Bob Muhlnickel (EPH), Eric Strong (ATC), and Erin Strobl (BIO).

All faculty and staff are welcome!

The event is designed to meet the following goal of the Teaching and Creativity Center's programming:

  • Goal 1: Create a culture of critical reflection, continual growth, and collaboration for faculty at all stages of professional growth
  • Goal 2: Promote evidence-based, high-impact, innovative course design and teaching strategies that improve student outcomes
  • Goal 3: Facilitate faculty inquiry into the study of teaching & learning with an equity lens
