Passing of Danielle Dawley, Payroll Technician in the Controller's Office

It is with sadness that I inform the College community of the passing of Danielle Dawley, Payroll Technician in the Controller’s Office, on February 10, 2026.

Danielle began her career at Monroe Community College in 2016 as an Office Clerk II in the Accounting Services department, then transitioned to the Payroll department as a Payroll Technician in 2019. Prior to her employment at MCC, Danielle was a student at the College and was a proud member of our National Champion Soccer team.

Danielle’s positive energy, thoughtfulness, and outgoing personality were very contagious, and she will be sorely missed by her MCC family. Whether she was offering a helping hand, sharing a laugh, or simply checking in to make sure others were doing okay, she made people feel valued and supported. Her absence leaves a noticeable void, but her spirit, compassion, and the joy she brought to our workplace will continue to be remembered by all who had the privilege of working alongside her.

Danielle is survived by her husband, Robert, and her children Anna, Emma, and Mitchell. The Celebration of Life will be held at Shamrock Jack’s on March 21st from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM (4554 Culver Road, Rochester, NY 14622).
