Preparing for First Exams and Papers: TAAC's Chill, Plan, and Write Time Management Event
Please share with students:The Tutoring & Academic Assistance Center (TAAC) will be hosting a Chill, Plan, and Write: Time Management event next Tuesday, February 10 & Wednesday, February 11, to help students prepare for their upcoming first exam and writing assignments. More details can be found below:
Chill, Plan, and Write
- Date: Tuesday, February 10 & Wednesday, February 11, 2026
- Location: Brighton Campus, room 11-106 (TAAC)
- Time: 12:30pm to 1:30pm (both days)
- Snacks and Free planners will be provided to those who participate!
- Appointments: No appointments are necessary! Walk-ins are encouraged.
What can students expect?
- Work with an Academic Coach
- Create a Weekly Schedule: Identify your commitments, find your free time, and build a schedule that actually works for you.
- Understand Your Syllabus: Learn how to read course information sheets, track assignments, and stay on top of deadlines.
- Explore Digital Planning Tools: Not a fan of traditional planners? Discover apps and digital resources to stay organized.
- Prepare for Your First Exam: Learn time-management and study strategies to feel confident and ready.
- Create a Study Plan: Plan your study sessions, prioritize what matters most, and practice strategies that help you study smarter, not harder.
- Work with a Writing Consultant
- Map Out Your Paper: Get help organizing your first paper or written assignment before you start writing.
- Understand the Writing Process: Learn the stages of writing from brainstorming and outlining to revising and editing.
Whether students come for one day or both sessions, Chill, Plan, and Write offers a welcoming space to plan, focus, and start the semester strong!
