Happy Retirement to Mary Miller!

After more than 17 years of dedicated service to Monroe Community College, Mary Miller has decided it's time to trade purchase orders for patterns, and spreadsheets for sewing machines.

Mary joined MCC's Purchasing Department in January 2009 as a Buyer and has faithfully served the College ever since. Throughout her career, she has helped keep MCC running smoothly with her professionalism, expertise, and commitment to serving the College community.

As Mary begins this exciting new chapter, she looks forward to spending more time doing what she loves most: sewing... and even more sewing!  She also plans to travel with her husband to many exciting places within and outside the US (without having to worry about getting back in time for work on Monday morning!); volunteering at Crafts Bits and Pieces; and making memories with her children, family members, and friends.  When she’s not busy with all of that, she will be helping her husband restore his 1970 Ford Falcon – I am told she is an expert in flashlight-holding!

While we are excited for Mary as she embarks on this well-earned retirement, she will certainly be missed by her colleagues and all those who have had the pleasure of working with her over the years. We are grateful for her many contributions and the positive impact she has made at MCC.

Mary's last day at MCC will be July 28. Friends and colleagues are welcome to stop by or call any time before then to wish her well and help celebrate her retirement.

Congratulations, Mary! We wish you happiness, good health, safe travels, and many years of enjoyment in this next chapter of life.
